A new gimmick for Georgia

by tommy.deas

The Blackout didn’t work, as any Alabama fan who remembers last season well knows.
The black helmets-and-black-pants trick didn’t do to well against Florida, even on Halloween.
I’ve got a suggestion for Mark Richt — try a new gimmick. Like blocking and tackling.
Georgia needs to start paying attention to fundamentals instead of trying to make a fashion statement, as a friend of mine who graduated from UGA freely admits.
Just a few years ago, it looked like Georgia was going to fill the void created when Steve Spurrier left Florida and the league had a power vacuum. As it stands now, Georgia might be lucky to play in a bowl game this year.
Richt needs to take a long look at what has happened to the Bulldogs’ program — and look for real solutions instead of gimmicks.

GA is just mirroring the crappy Falcons uniforms. I hope the entire SEC, with Bama being the exception, goes with the ugly black helmets, black pants, jerseys and shoes. The Tennessee jerseys are just plain aweful. The orange was actually cool and no one had that look—-keep wearing black and that will cost you more recruits and maybe some fans.

Way to go Dogs—-maybe all the SEC EAST will wear black. Goes well against the CRIMSON Tide.

    LSU, You listening???

    Yellow is also obnoxious.
